In some New Guinea societies, homosexuals activities are obligatory for all males. Homosexual acts are considered utterly masculine, roles are based on ages, and patterns are determined by kinship status. Although these men engage in extensive homosexual and pedophile behavior, they are neither homosexuals nor pederasts.
